一、 Radiator troubles and reasons
The main fault of radiator is leakage. Reasons include that fan broke during operation, and the radiator was injured. Or the radiator was not fixed, radiator joint was cracked during diesel engine operation.And the cooling water may contained too much impurities and salt,so that the pipe is serious corrosion and damaged.
二、 Inspection after radiator damage
When radiator leak,should clean the radiator outside and check.When checking,block all the other ports expect leaving one inlet or outlet, put the radiator into the water, and then use an air pump or high-pressure air cylinder to inject about 0.5kg/cm2 of compressed air from the water inlet or outlet , If bubbles are found, it means that there are cracks or breakages.
三、 Repair of radiator
1．Repair of radiator up and low tanks
Before repairing, clean the leaking parts, and then use a metal brush or scraper to completely remove the metal paint and rust, and then repair it with solder. If there is a large leakage at the fixing screws of the upper and lower tanks, can remove and then make two new. Before assembling, apply adhesive or sealant on the top and bottom of the gasket, and then fix it with screws.
2． Repair of radiator tubes
If the radiator outer tubes is slightly damaged, it can generally be repaired by soldering. If the damage is large, needle-nose pliers can be used to clamp the tubes heads on both sides to prevent water leakage. However, the number of blocked tubes should not be too much,otherwise it will affect the heat dissipation effect. If the radiator inner tubes are damaged, the upper and lower water chambers should be removed, and then replaced or welded the tubes. After complete assembly , the radiator should be checked for water leakage again.
